Once you’ve checked in for your cruise, don’t forget to bring along your luggage tags — and I’m not referring to the durable plastic ones with your contact information used to identify your suitcases if they get misplaced.

Usually, after completing your registration and submitting the required details, your cruise line will offer a PDF file containing luggage tags as part of your electronic travel documents. However, if you’re looking for something different, take a look at our unique TPG version below.

Here’s how to print your cruise luggage tags:

  • Click the link provided above to access the PDF version of the luggage tag. (Adobe Acrobat must be installed on your computer.)
  • Select the printer icon located near the upper right corner of your display.
  • Choose your printer; configure the page orientation, size, and color as needed; and specify the required number of copies. (Print one copy for each piece of luggage you intend to hand over to porters upon arriving at the terminal. These tags are not necessary for items you plan to carry with you onto the ship.)
  • Press the “print” button.

Here’s how to attach the cruise luggage tags:

1. Print the luggage tags provided by your cruise line.
2. Fold the tags as indicated by the instructions on the tag.
3. Place the folded tag in a plastic holder or laminate it for durability.
4. Attach the tag to your luggage handle using a strong string, a zip tie, or a luggage tag holder.
5. Ensure the tag is securely fastened and visible to the cruise line staff for easy identification.

By following these steps, you can ensure your luggage is properly labeled and can be delivered to your stateroom efficiently.

  • Utilize a pen to write your name, the ship’s name, your sailing date, and cabin number on the designated lines.
  • Turn the page so that the side with the print is facing downward.
  • Begin at one end and fold the paper lengthwise twice toward the center, following the printed lines as guides.
  • Repeat step three starting from the opposite end. (The aim is to create a long, narrow strip that shows just the part of the tag featuring the TPG logo and the lines for your details, while the remainder of the page is folded underneath to add thickness.)
  • Insert the tag face down through the handle on your luggage.
  • Align the two ends so the yellow bars match up, forming a ring, and then use a staple or tape to secure the tag in position.

Suggestion: If you’re flying to your departure point, wait until after your flight to fasten the tags to your luggage to prevent them from coming off during transit.

Should you require a more durable method for exhibiting your luggage tag details, I suggest these reusable protective cruise luggage tag holders, which are far less likely to tear compared to paper.
