New Jersey Road Trip
We resided in New Jersey for 11 years, but after this 7-day road trip, we realized how much we had overlooked. Known as the Garden State, it offers various outdoor recreational opportunities, including 130 miles of beaches, 12 national park sites, and the first national reserve. It’s the only state in the US where every county is classified as a metropolitan area, so you are never short on fine dining, cultural events, and activities.
And did we mention it’s the Diner Capital of the World? You’re in for some great food! Too often, people form opinions about New Jersey based on what they see from the turnpike…but venture onto the backroads, follow our travel guide below, and you’ll discover that a New Jersey Road Trip is packed with amazing and unexpected things to do.

Florida Road Trip
Did you know that Orlando is America’s most popular vacation spot? Folks, a Florida road trip has so much more to offer than theme parks! More freshwater springs than anywhere else on the planet, the one and only Everglades, the oldest European city in the U.S., a melting pot of global cultures, and beach weather while most of the States are shoveling snow…why wouldn’t we choose to spend our winter here? We allocated an entire month to explore the Sunshine State by road, from the southernmost point to the northwestern border, uncovering places even more enchanting than Disney.

Wisconsin Road Trip
After 3.5 years and 74,000 miles of road-tripping through North America, we’ve arrived at our 50th State! We commenced this grand USA road trip in April 2017, traversed from the Arctic Circle to the Florida Keys, and have eventually reached the Great Lakes state of Wisconsin! With Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, and 15,000 additional lakes scattered across WI, they are renowned for their freshwater excursions, but we soon realized that’s only the beginning.
They boast an International Dark Sky Park, billion-year-old rock formations, a 1,200-mile hiking trail, IMBA-rated mountain biking, and a greater number of fruit and veggie farms than a vegan could wish for. For our 50th-state celebration, we went all out and teamed up with Travel Wisconsin for a 1,300-mile, two-week road trip around the state—in optimum fall foliage, no less! We had an absolute blast and are eager to share our essential stops for the ultimate Wisconsin road trip.

Tennessee Road Trip
Tennessee! Not only is this state the home of The Great Smoky Mountains, its renowned whiskey, and the birthplace of country music, blues, & rock n’ roll, but it’s also where a large part of Anne’s family resides! With aunts, uncles, and cousins on one side of the state and our siblings and nieces on the other, this called for a cross-state road trip! Tennessee features 16 self-guided driving routes linking 95 counties, plus Tennessee Music Pathways, tracing the state’s musical history and legends. With ample inspiration for our journey, we weaved from Knoxville to Memphis and uncovered many delightful off-the-path spots.
During our 10-day Tennessee road trip, we were amazed by the number of historic little towns rediscovering their spirit. From the former mining boomtown of Monterey to the college town of Cookeville, locals all spoke about the recent surge of creative individuals and trendy businesses revitalizing their quiet cities. Tennessee seems to cultivate and attract artistic talent, and its towns celebrate them with pride. We happened upon countless festivals, art workshops, free concerts, and community events that made us love these places even more.
Explore our favorite activities across the state and begin planning your own Tennessee road trip!

Route 66 Road Trip
“So, you two are in Chicago and heading to LA…are you going to take Route 66?” My dad asked this question, and we felt a bit silly that taking the country’s most iconic
