Qantas has unveiled a range of enhancements to its first class service, which the airline refers to as “a new chapter” in its premium experience. These modifications will take effect on its Airbus A380 fleet from late 2025 to mid-2026. Significant updates comprise the launch of new Aesop amenity kits with three collectible designs, including Aesop hand balm, hand wash, lip salve, toothpaste, eau de parfum, eyeshades, a toothbrush with a reusable cap, and 3M earplugs. Furthermore, travelers will be provided with new navy pajamas designed by Qantas and loafer-style slippers for improved inflight relaxation.
The airline is also reworking its food and drink selections, featuring new dishes created by Qantas’s Creative Director of Food and Beverage, Neil Perry. The menu will highlight offerings such as Margaret’s tartare of yellowfin tuna, roasted Wollemi duck, crumbed Margra lamb cutlets, and Neil Perry’s Gran Torino Torta Di Verona. The dining experience will provide dine on demand service, accompanied by Bollinger La Grande Année 2015 and Pommery Cuvée Louise 2006 champagnes.
Qantas International CEO Cam Wallace stressed the significance of quality in every aspect for first class passengers and underscored the emphasis on enhancing dining, amenities, and comfort. While these upgrades are appreciated, some industry analysts observe that features like dine on demand are already commonplace in numerous first class cabins globally. Nevertheless, these improvements are viewed as beneficial advancements for Qantas as it gears up for its forthcoming ultra long-haul Project Sunrise flights with the new Airbus A350-1000s.
