The hotel underwent a comprehensive renovation that began in the spring of 2024, enhancing both public spaces and guest accommodations. This renovation aligns with the 30th anniversary of the hotel, which originally opened its doors in 1994.
Boasting 171 accommodations, the hotel features 142 rooms and 29 suites, occupying the top 14 floors (levels 39-52) of Shinjuku Park Tower. The deluxe rooms at the Park Hyatt Tokyo offer a generous 484 square feet (45 square meters), while the standard suites are 915 square feet (85 square meters) in size.
The renowned dining options at Park Hyatt Tokyo retain their original concept post-renovation, with New York Bar & Grill, Girandole by Alain Ducasse, Kozue, and Peak Lounge & Bar remaining key highlights.

It is unfortunate that the hotel did not seize the opportunity to renovate during the height of the pandemic, when Japan’s borders were largely closed to international travelers. Instead, the renovation occurred concurrently with a surge in visitors to Japan.
Admittedly, many businesses faced similar challenges—they were uncertain about the pandemic’s trajectory and/or lacked the necessary funds (or willingness) to implement major changes.
I am truly excited to stay at this hotel once more. Based on the images and details of the revamped property, it appears that the update retained a consistent vibe, despite the lengthy process. The aim was undoubtedly to maintain the property’s ambiance while modernizing it in terms of aesthetics, technology, and overall experience.
The Park Hyatt Tokyo has consistently embraced understated elegance rather than extravagant design, and this philosophy continues.
