Hyatt has revealed its intentions to launch a new ski resort under its Andaz name, representing the inaugural mountain and ski resort for Andaz. The Andaz Heber Valley is scheduled to open in January 2029, perfectly timed to coincide with the ski season. Nestled in Heber Valley, Utah, the resort is conveniently reachable from Salt Lake City Airport and is just a short drive away from Deer Valley’s East Village.
The Andaz will be integrated into The Slope, a mixed-use development by Angstrom Development Group, featuring 85 guest rooms and suites, in addition to private residences comprising 62 condos and 140 villas. The resort will focus on a mountain-to-table culinary philosophy utilizing local and sustainable ingredients.
The Deer Valley region is witnessing swift expansion with numerous new hotel projects, which may lead to increased competitive rates and options for loyalty program members. The decision to label the property as an Andaz is significant, as the brand has experienced limited growth outside Asia in recent times.
