American Admirals Clubs to Feature Citi Branding

American Admirals Clubs to Feature Citi Branding

American Admirals Clubs to Feature Citi Branding
If you often frequent the Admirals Club lounges of American Airlines, you’ll observe a subtle shift in the branding. Commencing in April 2026, American Airlines will broaden its collaboration with Citi across the Admirals Club network within the United States. This development will integrate Citi branding at the entries of Admirals Club lounges, positioning the Citi logo next to the Admirals Club logo and above the oneworld branding.

To start, this branding will be rolled out at lounges in Chicago (ORD), Dallas (DFW), Los Angeles (LAX), and Miami (MIA), with additional locations being added throughout 2026. This initiative is part of a more extensive exclusive credit card arrangement between American Airlines and Citi, following the cessation of Barclays as a credit card collaborator. Citi ThankYou has incorporated American AAdvantage as a credit card partner, and Citi has introduced new credit cards that include Admirals Club guest passes.

The adoption of Citi branding marks a first-of-its-kind effort among major U.S. airlines, as neither Delta with Amex nor United with Chase features such branding at lounge entrances. Citi’s absence of a dedicated lounge network in the U.S. might be a driving force behind this branding effort.

Though the branding change is slight and does not alter the lounge experience, it represents the deepening partnership between American Airlines and Citi. Frequent flyers may observe the updated branding and contemplate its implications.
