Miami Airport Unveils New Private Terminal with Access Fees Beginning at $1,295 Per Visit

PS (originally established in 2017 as The Private Suite) is a business that manages exclusive airport facilities, designed to let individuals skip the standard airport experience when flying commercially. The company has recently launched its latest location at Miami International Airport (MIA), so if you’re willing to spend $1,295 to elevate your pre-flight experience, pay attention!

Miami Airport’s newly launched private terminal for commercial flights

PS has launched a new private airport facility for commercial flights at Miami International Airport (MIA), with the official opening ceremony occurring yesterday (Wednesday, June 17, 2026).

For aviation enthusiasts, the facility has an incredibly remarkable setting. PS MIA is situated in the historic former headquarters of Pan American Airways (Pan Am), which originally opened in 1963 and was referred to as the “Taj Mahal.” Pan Am ceased operations in 1991, leaving this location vacant for quite a while.

As described, PS MIA is “committed to maintaining the building’s iconic mid-century brutalist design, while incorporating furnishings and finishes that reflect important elements of the era, Miami’s vibrant culture, and Palm Beach sophistication.”

PS provides a distinctive pre-flight and post-flight experience, serving as an alternative to the main terminal for travelers on commercial flights. The facility spans 34,000 square feet and includes nine Private Suites (which provide a secluded space for each group of travelers) and The Salon (a communal lounge).

PS guests benefit from private TSA and immigration screenings on-site, along with a BMW chauffeur to transport them to and from the jet bridge stairs of their commercial flights. While at the facility, you can arrange everything from meals prepared by chefs to spa services.

For reference, the inaugural PS location debuted in 2017 in Los Angeles (LAX), followed by the second location in 2023 in Atlanta (ATL), and the third location in 2026 in Dallas (DFW). With both the DFW and MIA locations opening within weeks of each other, we’ve seen the company’s footprint expand significantly in a very short time.

The PS MIA experience ranges from $1,295 to $4,950 per visit

So, what will it cost you to visit PS MIA? For some context, you can find the pricing for PS outlined here:

  • If you don’t have a membership, you’ll pay $1,295 per person for access to The Salon (a communal area), or $4,950 for up to four guests to access a Private Suite (a secluded area)
  • With a $1,250 The Salon annual membership, you’ll pay $995 per person for access to The Salon, or $4,950 for up to four guests to access a Private Suite
  • With the $4,850 All Access annual membership, you’ll pay $895 per person for access to The Salon, or $3,650 for up to four guests to access a Private Suite

I completely understand how there’s value in something like PS at LAX, considering the number of celebrities and other affluent individuals traveling through the airport, and how chaotic the airport can be. Arguably the biggest challenge PS encounters is appealing to a demographic of wealthy individuals who do not fly private.

Of course this demographic is present, and it’s substantial. However, PS’s pricing is also steep, so even those who are financially well-off may hesitate. This is especially true when you take into account that traveling doesn’t have to be stressful nowadays, with options like TSA PreCheck, CLEAR, <a
