Delta Air Lines has officially inaugurated its second Delta One Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) as of June 30, 2026. This establishes LAX as the first airport to feature two Delta One Lounges, highlighting Delta’s expansive growth strategy at this site. The newly opened lounge is located in Terminal 2 and is operational daily from 7 AM to 10 PM. Initially, the lounge is a temporary arrangement taking up the former Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse area, providing 4,000 square feet and accommodations for 75 patrons. It boasts a la carte dining with a changing menu, a wide selection of beverages, three showers, four cabana-style restrooms, and a bar. The lounge is set to undergo a complete renovation in the latter part of 2027 and will reopen in 2028. Delta’s development at LAX also includes initiatives for a new Sky Club in Terminal 2, bringing the total number of lounge areas at the airport to four. This initiative is part of Delta’s ambitious growth objectives at LAX, in spite of the fierce competition with American and United Airlines. Additionally, Delta has commenced new international routes from LAX, such as flights to Hong Kong and plans to Manila in 2027, as part of its strategy to take a leading position in the LAX market.
