In late 2024, Cathay Pacific introduced its new Aria Suite business class, signifying a major improvement in the airline’s services. This new product positions Cathay Pacific’s business class among the finest in the world, demonstrating the airline’s dedication to delivering a premier experience.
The introduction of the Aria Suite is a gradual endeavor, as the retrofitting of aircraft with new interiors is a lengthy process. Currently, the project is about halfway finished, with the Aria Suite being rolled out on additional planes. At present, 17 Boeing 777-300ERs have been updated with the new cabins. The airline aims to finalize the reconfiguration of its entire fleet of long-haul 777s by the end of 2027. However, there are no intentions to retrofit other long-haul aircraft such as the Airbus A330 or A350 with this product. The Aria Suite will also be incorporated into Cathay Pacific’s new Boeing 777-9s once they are received.
The reconfiguration occurs in Xiamen, with each aircraft undergoing an interior refurbishment that takes approximately seven weeks. The Aria Suite is solely available on select 777-300ERs, and the airline is currently utilizing these aircraft on numerous routes from Hong Kong. These include daily flights to Frankfurt, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Milan, San Francisco, Sapporo, Sydney, Tokyo Haneda, and Vancouver. Additionally, selected flights to Bangkok and Beijing also feature the Aria Suite, although this varies by day and month.
For those intending to book a flight with the Aria Suite, it is crucial to confirm the aircraft type and seat map. On Google Flights, the Aria Suite is categorized as an “Individual suite” product in business class. On Cathay Pacific’s website, the seat map will display “45 Aria suites” if the aircraft includes this product. The 777-300ER with the Aria Suite provides 45 business class seats, which comprise seats in row 14 and four seats in row 20, differing from the non-Aria Suite layout.
Cathay Pacific’s own loyalty program provides the most award availability for redeeming miles on flights that feature the Aria Suite. As the rollout progresses, more routes are anticipated to include this new product, further improving the travel experience for Cathay Pacific’s business class travelers.
