Delta Air Lines has revealed intentions to introduce a new transatlantic service, featuring daily nonstop flights between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). This operation is scheduled to run seasonally from March 27 to October 24, 2027, coinciding with the IATA summer period. Tickets for this route are anticipated to become available starting August 15, 2026.
The flights will utilize the Airbus A330-900neo, which can seat 281 travelers, comprising 29 Delta One business class seats, 28 Premium Select premium economy seats, and 224 Main Cabin economy seats. This new service marks Delta’s second non-hub route to Paris and signifies Austin’s inaugural long-haul route serviced by a U.S. airline.
Delta’s Chief Commercial Officer, Joe Esposito, underlined the importance of this new service, highlighting Delta’s dedication to broadening its influence in Austin and improving international connectivity through its alliance with Air France-KLM.
As Delta invests in Austin as a primary city, the route will be integrated into the SkyTeam transatlantic joint venture, which includes Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic. The competitive scene in Austin also includes British Airways flights to London and Lufthansa flights to Frankfurt.
The choice to provide this route as a summer seasonal service indicates a strategic approach to seize peak travel demand, though there are speculations regarding possible year-round interest.
