If you need to rent a car for a vacation in the next few months and hold an American Express card, listen up: You may be able to earn some extra points on your next trip through the Amex Offers program.

Targeted card members can earn five additional American Express Membership Rewards points per dollar on qualifying purchases made with their eligible card at National Car Rental (limit of 5,000 points). According to our points valuations, that’s a 10% return on your booking in addition to the regular points that you’d earn on your purchase.

The terms and conditions state that reservations can be made in person, through National’s U.S. website, on the National Car Rental app or by phone. Eligible rentals must be paid by Dec. 15 in order to qualify.
