Assessing the Experience: An Initial Visit to a Hyatt Globalist Lounge for Elite Members

During my latest visit to the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, I discovered a distinctive amenity that I had not previously encountered as a World of Hyatt Globalist member: the Globalist Lounge. Unlike the standard Grand Club, this lounge caters solely to Globalist members and is not available for purchase. The lounge does not have a fixed location but shifts between available conference rooms, providing breakfast, snacks, and an evening offering. The food selection exceeded expectations, featuring items such as smoked salmon and hot breakfast choices. Although the setup is temporary, the lounge offers a dedicated area for Globalists, even though it substitutes for the complimentary restaurant breakfast usually provided. This concept may attract some due to its exclusivity and all-day availability, while others might favor the traditional club lounge or restaurant breakfast experience. The Globalist Lounge at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley represents an innovative approach, and time will tell if other Hyatts will embrace a similar model.
