**Transfer Amex Points to Hilton Honors with 20% Bonus**

From April 28 to May 30, 2026, the Amex Membership Rewards program in the U.S. is providing a 20% bonus when you transfer points to Hilton Honors. Typically, points transfer between these programs at a 1:2 ratio, which means during this promotion, points transfer at a 1:2.4 ratio. Essentially, you receive 2,400 Hilton Honors points for every 1,000 Amex Membership Rewards points transferred.

There are many excellent credit cards available in the United States that accumulate Amex Membership Rewards points. When transferring Amex points, you can generally anticipate that transfers to Hilton Honors are almost instantaneous. Ensure that you see the bonus at the moment you initiate the transfer, as it should be visible before you complete it.

On average, we observe a few transfer bonuses each year from Amex Membership Rewards to Hilton Honors. These bonuses are usually between 20-40%, so this promotion is on the lower end of that spectrum. Nonetheless, any bonus is superior to none.

**Should You Transfer Amex Points to Hilton with a Bonus?**

I personally assess Amex points at roughly 1.7 cents each and Hilton Honors points at about 0.5 cents each. Based on my point valuation and the 1:2.4 transfer ratio, you’re receiving approximately 1.2 cents of value per Amex point. While it may not be the most thrilling opportunity, it’s still decent, and for many, it could be beneficial.

It’s important to mention that my point valuation is designed to be conservative, and there are always methods to achieve significantly greater value by using points judiciously. Just be certain you have a particular purpose in mind. Hilton frequently sells points for 0.5 cents each, and I’ve detailed some of the prime ways to utilize Hilton Honors points.

Still, it’s not a method I would choose to use for redeeming my Amex points, especially considering the numerous Hilton Honors devaluations we’ve witnessed over time, with premier properties now costing up to 250,000 points for a standard room.

**Bottom Line**

Temporarily, the Amex Membership Rewards program is providing a 20% bonus when transferring points to Hilton Honors, adjusting the transfer ratio to 1:2.4. This could be a favorable deal with a clear purpose in mind; however, personally, I would prefer to obtain Hilton points through different means and reserve my Amex points for other opportunities.
