Etihad Launches High-Density Airbus A321LR Showcasing First Class Cabin
Etihad Airways plans to roll out a more densely packed configuration for its Airbus A321LRs, showcasing an innovative three-cabin setup with 194 seats. This setup comprises two first class seats, six business class seats, and 186 economy seats. To make room for 42 more economy seats, the airline is cutting back its business class seating by eight. These aircraft are expected to begin operations on routes connecting Abu Dhabi to Delhi and Mumbai in early 2027. Even with the high-density arrangement, Etihad still delivers a first-class experience on these narrower jets, offering a “business class plus” service with comprehensive first-class amenities at competitive prices. This initiative aligns with Etihad’s strategy to effectively handle premium demand while broadening its narrow-body fleet.
