The upcoming lounge, scheduled to debut in early 2028, will be situated at the entrance of the Mauka Concourse in Terminal 1. Covering roughly 13,000 square feet, it will serve approximately 200 guests, catering to both Alaska and Hawaiian passengers. The lounge is set to offer locally inspired food and drink options, a distinctive coffee experience, a fully stocked bar with specialty cocktails, private work areas, and artworks by local creators.
This initiative addresses the current shortcomings of Hawaiian Airlines’ lounge facilities, particularly the often-crowded Plumeria Lounge. The new lounge is anticipated to significantly improve the ground experience, resembling an Alaska Lounge but with Hawaiian branding, in line with Alaska Air Group’s strategic branding efforts.
Access to the lounge is likely to be integrated into the Alaska Lounge network, available to Alaska Lounge members and long-haul premium cabin travelers. At present, those with purchased first-class tickets for flights exceeding 2,000 miles also benefit from lounge access, a policy which may persist.
