It’s a thrilling period for LOT Polish Airlines, as the Star Alliance carrier revamps its long-haul passenger offering. Over the next few months, the airline will initiate retrofitting its Dreamliners, including the launch of a new business class product. The airline will also unveil inflight connectivity in collaboration with Viasat, which is long overdue.
But the airline is not stopping there. LOT is also enhancing its inflight soft product by introducing new meals, amenities, and more.
LOT unveils a revamped business class travel experience
Beginning August 2026, LOT will introduce new meals, amenities, and overall cabin presentation on its long-haul flights.
To kick things off, the airline will roll out a new amenity kit, available in two color options (navy blue and copper). The amenity kits will feature products from the Polish brand Phenomé, including items like facial mist and eye patches.
Additionally, the airline is broadening its signature skincare ritual, created in collaboration with the Polish brand HDRÈY. It will include a set of three products — Full HA Micellar Water, Glass Skin MASK, and Glass Skin SERUM — all designed to complement each other.
Furthermore, the airline is introducing new headphones, reportedly featuring a more ergonomic design, soft ear pads, and noise cancellation capabilities.
In recent weeks, the airline has begun rolling out tableware from Manufaktura in Bolesławiec, specifically crafted pottery for LOT. However, this is currently available only on flights to Asia, so it won’t be found on North American routes. It is hoped that it will expand in the future.
Izabela Leszczyńska, LOT’s Director of Product Development and Customer Experience, describes this as follows:
“Creating the LOT Business Class experience is akin to designing a well-conceived space – it’s not just one striking detail that matters, but the harmonious character of all journey components. All new offerings, from pottery to cosmetics and headphones, aim to create a cohesive and polished whole. Collaboration with Polish brands is naturally integral to this strategy. With their support, we are setting a standard that is presented onboard our aircraft and showcased globally. Ultimately, it is the passengers who will determine the success of these changes. We sincerely hope they will appreciate our guiding principle – a focus on quality, functionality, and the minutest details.”
LOT’s business class is becoming increasingly competitive
LOT may not attract significant global attention, but in my view, the airline exceeds most people’s expectations. I traveled in LOT’s business class across the Atlantic a few years ago, and it was enjoyable regarding food, service, and more.
To me, the two major concerns were the outdated seats and lack of Wi-Fi. With LOT now fundamentally transforming its long-haul business class hard and soft product, I believe LOT could emerge as an airline worth seeking out across the Atlantic (or at least not one to avoid).
While we can expect LOT’s first aircraft with the new interiors to enter service in the coming months, the rollout is projected to extend through 2030. I understand the airline’s desire to manage costs, but with a fleet of only 15 Dreamliners, this timeline seems quite lengthy, especially as the aim is likely to generate increased revenue from the improved product. It’s always challenging when a fleet is only partially retrofitted, leaving many passengers disappointed.
Bottom line
In the near future, LOT Polish Airlines will be introducing new long-haul cabins, along with Viasat Wi-Fi. Additionally, the airline will enhance its long-haul business class soft product beginning August 2026, featuring new amenities, tableware, and more.
It’s wonderful to witness the evolution at LOT; I just wish that the fleet overhaul would conclude before 2030.
What are your thoughts on LOT’s investments in passenger experience?
