Although this is a niche topic, here’s a promotion that I utilized, which led me to deplete my Choice Privileges account. I’m not claiming it’s the ultimate deal, but for my particular situation, it seemed reasonable.
Bonus for transferring Choice Privileges to Air France-KLM Flying Blue
Choice Privileges allows members to exchange hotel points for airline points, usually at a 5:1 ratio. However, from March 24 to April 24, 2026, you can rack up a 100% bonus when transferring Choice Privileges points to Air France-KLM Flying Blue. This means you receive 2,000 Flying Blue miles for every 5,000 Choice points, which translates to each Choice Privileges point earning you 0.4 Flying Blue miles.
There are minimal restrictions tied to this, and you should see the correct transfer ratio reflected automatically when points are moved.
Reasons I seized this transfer bonus
I possessed a total of 217,000 Choice Privileges points, which had just been lying around for years, and they were three months away from expiring. To keep it brief, in the past, I held the Radisson Rewards credit card, which provided a substantial number of points annually just for paying the fee, and the math made sense. I didn’t redeem them often, but I still believed it was worthwhile.
When Choice acquired Radisson in the Americas, the points transferred to Choice Privileges. It’s true that there are several valuable uses for Choice Privileges points, especially in certain parts of Europe, though there have also been numerous devaluations over the years. I just hadn’t found the time to redeem those points, however.
In the meantime, I regularly utilize Air France-KLM Flying Blue miles, so with a 100% bonus, I thought this was an excellent opportunity. With the 5:2 transfer ratio, I could convert 217,000 Choice Privileges points into 86,800 Air France-KLM Flying Blue miles.
This is essentially sufficient for 1.5 business class tickets from the United States to Europe at the saver rate, and I genuinely believe that will provide me the most immediate benefit from those points.
So if you’re also a long-time points enthusiast with plenty of Choice points from the Radisson era, this might be an opportunity worth looking into.
Final thoughts
It is possible to obtain a 100% bonus when transferring Choice Privileges points to Air France-KLM Flying Blue. Instead of the usual 5:1 ratio, this results in a 5:2 ratio. While it may not be an extraordinary deal that everyone should seize, if you have some Choice Privileges points gathering dust for a while, I believe this is worth evaluating.
Did anyone else take advantage of this 100% transfer bonus?
