In early 2025, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) revealed its intentions to launch complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi. The carrier was initially slow to commence the installation, which officially began in late March 2026. Thankfully, the progress of the installation has been remarkable, and the airline has now achieved a significant milestone — all Airbus A320neos are equipped with Starlink, covering a significant portion of the airline’s fleet.

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is collaborating with SpaceX to bring Starlink Wi-Fi to its entire fleet. Most notably, SAS is providing Starlink Wi-Fi at no cost to all participants of its EuroBonus loyalty program (which is free to join), allowing members to connect multiple devices.
Starlink is recognized for its high-speed, low-latency broadband internet, with the service available gate to gate. Starlink Wi-Fi supports live streaming, productivity akin to what one experiences on land (with high upload and download speeds), gaming, e-commerce, and more.
Starlink is gaining popularity among airlines, and numerous carriers have opted for the service. For passengers, having Starlink certainly enhances the flying experience.

Progress on Scandinavian Airlines’ Starlink Wi-Fi deployment
SAS has now announced that it has equipped all of its Airbus A320neo planes with Starlink Wi-Fi, with installations completed in just over five months.
While the installation of Starlink on one type of aircraft may not seem particularly impressive, it’s important to note that the A320neo represents a substantial portion of the airline’s fleet. Of SAS’ 72 aircraft, 46 are Airbus A320neos. The rest of the fleet consists of four A319s, five A320s, three A321LRS, eight A330s, and six A350s.
So, if you happen to take a short-haul “mainline” flight on SAS, especially within Europe, the chances are very high that you’ll have access to Starlink.
What about the other aircraft? SAS indicates that it is progressing with the subsequent phase of its Starlink rollout, stating that “installation preparations are ongoing for the remaining aircraft types with further installations slated before the end of the year.”
It seems that the project will not conclude by the year’s end but will continue onward. For now, expect Starlink to be available on A320neos, but it may not be offered on other aircraft.
