New Jersey Road Trip
We spent 11 years in New Jersey, but after this 7-day road trip, we realized how much we had overlooked. Known as the Garden State, it offers a wealth of outdoor recreational activities, encompassing 130 miles of beaches, 12 national park sites, and the first national reserve. It’s the sole state in the US where all the counties are deemed metropolitan areas, ensuring you’ll never run out of exquisite dining, cultural events, and activities.

And did we mention it’s the Diner Capital of the World? Get ready for some delightful meals! Too often, folks judge New Jersey based on what they observe from the turnpike…but explore the backroads, follow our travel guide below, and you will discover that a New Jersey Road Trip is filled with amazing and surprising things to do.

Florida Road Trip
Were you aware that Orlando is America’s top vacation spot? People, a Florida road trip offers so much more than just theme parks! With more freshwater springs than anywhere globally, the one-and-only Everglades, the oldest European city in the U.S., a cultural blend from around the world, and beach weather when most states are shoveling snow…why wouldn’t we choose to spend our winter here? We allocated an entire month to navigate the Sunshine State, from the southernmost point to the northwestern border, uncovering places even more enchanting than Disney.

Wisconsin Road Trip
After 3.5 years and 74,000 miles of adventure throughout North America, we’ve finally touched down in our 50th State! We began this grand USA road trip in April 2017, traveling from the Arctic Circle to the Florida Keys, and have at last arrived in Wisconsin, the Great Lakes state! With Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, and 15,000 other lakes scattered about WI, they are famous for their freshwater recreational activities, but we soon discovered that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

They feature an International Dark Sky Park, ancient rock formations, a 1,200-mile hiking trail, IMBA-ranked mountain biking, and more fruit and vegetable farms than a vegan could wish for. For our 50th-state celebration, we went all out and collaborated with Travel Wisconsin for a 1,300-mile, two-week road trip around the state—right in the peak of fall foliage! We had an absolute blast and are eager to share our must-see stops for the ultimate Wisconsin road trip.

Tennessee Road Trip
Tennessee! This state is not only home to The Great Smoky Mountains, its famous whiskey, and the birthplace of country music, blues, and rock n’ roll, but it also hosts most of Anne’s family! With relatives spread across the state, this called for a cross-state road trip! Tennessee features 16 self-guided driving routes linking 95 counties, plus Tennessee Music Pathways, showcasing the state’s musical heritage and legends. With ample inspiration for our journey, we zigzagged from Knoxville to Memphis and uncovered a multitude of wonderful off-the-beaten-path gems.

During our 10-day Tennessee road trip, we were amazed by the number of historic small towns rediscovering their charm. From the former mining town of Monterey to the college hub of Cookeville, locals shared tales of a recent influx of creative individuals and trendy businesses revitalizing their sleepy communities. Tennessee seems to nurture and attract artistic souls, and its towns proudly commemorate them. We came across countless festivals, art workshops, free concerts, and community events that endeared us to these areas even more.

Explore our favorite activities across the state and begin planning your very own Tennessee road trip!
