Alaska Air Group has revealed a set of improvements to passenger experience, emphasizing the premium offering that has become standard in the industry. A notable change is the launch of a premium economy section, named Premium Reserve, to be featured on Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines. This service will be available on Alaska’s Boeing 787s and select Boeing 737 MAX 10s, along with Hawaiian’s Airbus A330s.
The Premium Reserve section will provide 38 inches of seat pitch, improved recline, leg and calf supports, spacious tray tables, and accessible storage options. Travelers will benefit from a 16-inch 4K OLED entertainment display equipped with Bluetooth capabilities, various charging possibilities, and an enhanced dining experience. The cabin is set to launch in 2028, with ticket sales commencing in 2027. Alaska Air Group’s initiative is consistent with industry movements, enriching the passenger experience with an emphasis on comfort and services.
