Air Canada Unveils New Business Class Seating for Boeing 787-10 and Airbus A321XLR
Air Canada has recently revealed thrilling information regarding its revamped passenger experience for long-haul flights, which is set to launch on its newly received aircraft. The airline intends to roll out two types of new business class seats, named Air Canada Signature Class, for its forthcoming 30 Airbus A321XLR narrow-body airplanes and 18 Boeing 787-10 wide-body aircraft. The A321XLRs are anticipated to arrive shortly, followed by the 787-10s.

The new cabins are characterized as the initial significant manifestation of Air Canada’s Glowing Hearted Standard, which aims to provide a uniquely Canadian experience with an emphasis on comfort, care, and connection. Mark Nasr, Air Canada’s Chief Operations Officer, underscored the investment in reshaping the flying experience with a strong sense of Canadian identity and a dedication to craftsmanship and utility.

On the Boeing 787-10, Air Canada will provide 332 seats, comprising 42 business class seats, 28 premium economy seats, and 262 economy seats. Four of the business class seats will feature a “business class plus” offering, branded as Air Canada Signature Plus Suites. These reverse herringbone seats equipped with doors will showcase enhanced technology, including 27″ 4K OLED monitors, Bluetooth audio, and various power outlets.

The Airbus A321XLR will accommodate 182 seats, which include 14 business class seats and 168 economy seats. The business class will be constructed on the Collins Aerospace Aurora platform, presenting herringbone seats oriented towards the aisle and upgraded technology with 19″ 4K OLED monitors and Bluetooth audio.

Alongside the new hard product, Air Canada is also set to launch a new “end-to-end hospitality experience” later this year, which will feature enhanced service, food and beverage offerings, and premium amenities.

In conclusion, Air Canada’s new business class offerings are poised to provide a competitive experience with deliberate design choices and meticulous attention to detail, mirroring the airline’s growth aspirations and commitment to customer care and comfort.
